ESG – Environment

As a manufacturer of PV structures for large-scale solar farms, we are an integral part of the energy transition, as we support the development of infrastructure that enables generation of energy from renewable sources.

Key Environmental Initiatives

We hold a certificate of origin issued by the Polish Power Exchange, which confirms the purchase of green energy generated by wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants, among others, covering 100% of our annual energy needs at our office and production facility in Czerniewice.

HEAT PUMP

The facility in Czerniewice is equipped with heat pumps that are powered by energy sourced from certified renewable sources, according to information provided by our supplier. The use of heat pumps supports our efforts to improve the energy efficiency of our processes.

Since the beginning of 2025, we have been regularly calculating our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol, using primary data (fuel and energy invoices, as well as operational data) and emission factors consistent with current guidelines. Based on this, we aim to establish a base year that will serve as a reference point for future reporting and the development of our decarbonization strategy.

monitor Scope 1 and 2 emissions
measuring emissions under Scope 3

We know that a significant portion of our emissions originates in the value chain, as defined by Scope 3 of the GHG Protocol. In 2026, we will conduct a full screening of all 15 Scope 3 emission categories in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard. We will first focus on the categories that are likely most relevant to ENSON: Purchased Goods & Services (purchase of raw materials), Upstream Transport & Distribution (transport and supply logistics), and Waste Generated in Operations (waste generated during processes). We will obtain data for analysis from purchase documents, operational records, and certificates provided by our business partners.

We use 100% steel supplied by ArcelorMittal, which ensures full traceability of the material’s origin and allows us to assess its environmental impact at earlier stages of the supply chain. For the production of our structures, we use ArcelorMittal S350GD+ZM steel with a Magnelis® coating, sourced from the plants in Bremen and Liège, covered by a Product Environmental Declaration (EPD SP11914) compliant with ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
